Art Deco Nickel and Brass Lamp by Gilbert Rohde
Description:
A vintage Art Deco machine age modernist table lamp designed by Gilbert Rohde and manufactured by Mutual-Sunset Lamp Company. This piece has been published on page 120 in "Gilbert Rohde: Modern Design for Modern Living" by Phyllis Ross (see image 8). The illustration shows the lamp featured in a Herman Miller Furniture Company Showroom in Grand Rapids in 1934. It has a nickel and chrome finish with a brass ball detail and sits atop an alabaster base. Note - The piece is in good vintage condition with age appropriate wear; it is not wired but can be upon purchase.
