Raymond Parker was born in South Dakota in 1922 and received his MFA from the University of Iowa. His style was influenced by the works of other noted artists such as Rothko, De Kooning and Matisse. He painted until his death in 1990 and his works have been sold by Auction houses such as Christie's and are in Museum and gallery collections throughout the United States.
