A pair of framed elaborate Japanese paintings of an emperor and empress by Nakayama Sanji from the Mid Meiji Period (c. 1890). Each figure is richly adorned in colorful, flowing robes. Shown at Chicago World's Fair in 1893.
Acirca 1950slounge chair, designed by architect Lina Bo Bardi, upholstered in blue linen, raised on highly modern tapered base. Back and seat may be adjusted and converted into a chaise. Excellent vintage condition, recently reupholstered. Dimensions provided reflect main image and adjusted to upright position.
A pair of 1950s Brazilian armchairs by designer Giuseppe Scapinelli, the highly modernist back and seat upholstered in red fabric, curved arms and tapered legs in rich jacaranda wood. These chairs are in excellent vintage condition, consistent with age and use.
A set of seven vintage Maison Jansen Louis XVI style armchairs. They are all newly reupholstered in a leopard print velvet. Finish on frames varies slightly; four have a lighter colored finish and three have the darker colored finish.
A pair of lounge chairs, manufactured circa 1950s by Gelli Industria de Moveis, with cushioned and tufted sloped back, seat and draped armrests, set against rectilinear frames in rich Brazilian wood. Markings include label [Gelli] affixed to the back frames of each. Excellent vintage condition, each recently reupholstered.
