The late 19th century French bombe commode, created in the Louis XV style, features breche d'alep marble top on bulbous form body, decorated with foliate gilt bronze mounts, on cabriole legs, including single shelf to the interior; the front and sides of the commode are embellished with paintings of the gallant scenes in the Vernis Martin style, the right side with scenes of the infant Bacchus astride a goat, surrounded by cherubs harvesting grapes.
