A vintage Bronze abstract sculpture by Mathias Goeritz. Mathias was born in Germany in 1915. He studied Art History and Philosophy in Berlin and from 1940-45 taught in Morocco. After WW2 he returned to Europe, living in Spain until he and his wife immigrated to Mexico in 1949, where they would live for the remainder of their lives. In Mexico he continued his sculpting, painting and teaching and also collaborated with architects. He died in Mexico City in 1990

She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and continued her artistic training at George Washington University and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. and exhibited locally an nationally throughout her career. She passed away in 2012.
