History of designer: The Bulgari family has been producing silverware for over 100 years. The first Bulgari store was opened in Rome in 1884, and in 1905, the Condotti shop was opened. Sotirio Bulgari, the original founder of the Bulgari brand, died and the company was taken over and run by his two sons, Giorgio and Costantino. After their deaths, the family business was run by Gianni and cousin Marina.
During the next few decades many well known celebrities and stars, such as Elizabeth Taylor, would love their jewelry pieces, including the amethyst pyramid ring. The brothers started to introduce floral brooches called En Tremblant. Superbly designed watches emerged during the 1970’s. During the 1990’s, fragrances began to emerge as well. In the period between 1997 and 2003, the company’s revenues rose by 150%. The company has gone through many different phases and continues to dominate in business today.
