History of designer: Martin Eisler was born in Vienna, Austria in 1913. After studying architecture in his native Austria, Eisler moved to Buenos Aires in 1938 in order to start his career. He began to exhibit his furniture designs and eventually met Carlo Hauner in Brazil. From there, they collaborated regularly on designs together.
Hauner was born in Brescia, Italy and was educated in the field of design in Milan. He immigrated to Brazil after the Second World War and started a furniture production company. Hauner also purchased another company, Móveis Artesanal, which was the factory previously owned by Pietro Bardi and Lina Bo Bardi.
Their work was widely acknowledged and featured by several popular design magazines.
