Mid 20th Century
A Brutalist style sculpture, created by Adolfo Passarella in the 1960's, in patinated bronze, on a square black laminate base, highly abstract, organic and bulbous design. The artist signature and date [PASSARELLA ADOLFO 1966] on the bottom of the sculpture. In very good condition, wear consistent with age and prior use.

A vintage Bronze abstract sculpture by Mathias Goeritz. Mathias was born in Germany in 1915. He studied Art History and Philosophy in Berlin and from 1940-45 taught in Morocco. After WW2 he returned to Europe, living in Spain until he and his wife immigrated to Mexico in 1949, where they would live for the remainder of their lives. In Mexico he continued his sculpting, painting and teaching and also collaborated with architects. He died in Mexico City in 1990
