An early 20th Century bed, influenced by the style of 18th Century English designer Thomas Chippendale, features an arched wooden headboard, carved and gilted, with beautifully rendered Chinese style pagoda and ho-ho birds, and a printed image of Francois Boucher's 'The Four Seasons: Spring' (1755) in the center, carved and gilt rocaille and scrolling acanthus decorate the bed rails, and cabriole legs.
Genuine red leather bag with unusual and fabulous construction. Includes matching leather belt and hand mirror. Some staining to interior but in overall good condition appropriate to age and use.
