French Louis XV period commode a tombeau or serpentine chest of drawers with marble top, made by French cabinetmaker Jean Demoulin during the 1770s.
The commode is made with veneered kingwood with gilt bronze embellishments, keyholes and handles decorated with foliage.
Marked 'DEMOULIN' on the top of the wood frame underneath the marble. Poincon of the Jurande.
Jean Demoulin (1715-1798) was a cabinetmaker in Paris shortly after 1745 where he worked in the workshop of Migeon. He is known for his elaborate Louis XV pieces.

Minor losses and minor fading, some old repair-work to the wood.
