A pair of oil on canvas paintings by contemporary modern artist Walford Williams, with abstracted white-on-white depictions of skyscrapers, one notably the Chrysler Building. Markings include artist's signature [Walford Williams] to reverse, on the canvas frame. Good condition, consistent with age.
Salvatore Anthony Guarino (1883 - 1919), a known Italian-American completed this portrait in 1904, a year after Whistler's death.

The inherent sense of energy in the piece likely stems from Dalglish's experiences living in New York City in the 70s and 80s. The piece is a recognizable counterpart to the kinetic, graffiti influenced works being produced by his contemporaries; Basquiat and Haring, among others. Alongside the works of these other artists, this piece is a great example of the explosion of creativity in New York's art scene at this time.

This work is a sublime example of the artist's skilled brushwork and ability to capture physical form and expression within his studies of female nudes. Painting comes in wood frame with carved gilt foliage. Markings include the artist's signature to the lower right corner, [Red Drape] to the reverse; plaque with artist's name to front. Very good condition, consistent with age.
An oil on canvas painting by American artist Mildred Crooks entitled "Lady of the Night"and signed in the upper left corner. Mildred Crooks was born in Chicago in 1899 and worked in commercial arts in Chicago before moving to New York City. She Studied in Paris for a time and had an atelier there as well as in Cannes and exhibited regularly in Paris and New York. She painted throughout her life and exhibited all over the world before passing away in 1972.
