This set of eight dining chairs were designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, a German architect.
A Brutalist copper-toned iron sculpture by Mathias Goeritz. Mathias was born in Germany in 1915. He studied Art History and Philosophy in Berlin and from 1940-45 taught in Morocco. After WW2 he returned to Europe, living in spain until he and his wife emigrated to Mexico in 1949, where they would live for the remainder of their lives. In Mexico he continued his sculpting, painting and teaching and also collaborated with architects. He died in Mexico City in 1990.

A vintage decorative bowl, in handblown Murano glass, produced circa 1950s in Italy, with scalloped, blue tinged rim, raised on circular base. This glass piece is in overall very good condition, consistent with age and use; inclusion of naturally occurring bubbles present in glass.

An oil on canvas painting by American artist Mildred Crooks entitled "Lady of the Night"and signed in the upper left corner. Mildred Crooks was born in Chicago in 1899 and worked in commercial arts in Chicago before moving to New York City. She Studied in Paris for a time and had an atelier there as well as in Cannes and exhibited regularly in Paris and New York. She painted throughout her life and exhibited all over the world before passing away in 1972.
