French Art Deco silver plated tea set with ebony handles, created in circa 1925 by French Decorative Designer Maurice Dufrêne (1876-1955) for Orfevrerie Gallia / Christofle.
Dufrêne was known for his Art Deco designs incorporating structure and decoration in a harmonious balance and hand-crafted designs. He headed the famous Maîtrise workshop of the Galeries Lafayette department store in Paris during the 1920s.
The set is stamped with the Orfevrerie Gallia mark and numbered on each piece. In great vintage condition with age-appropriate wear.
