An antique Folk Art sign depicting knots and other decorative elements. The piece was most likely handmade by an employee of the Milwaukee Boom Co. which was founded in 1887 and built world class tugboats. The folk art board features numerous sailor's knots, hitches and splices along with a carved double bladed axe, 2 log pikes, 2 log holders and other carved decorations. Late 19th- early 20th Century.

A Hollywood Regency style table lamp in Murano glass, attributed to Barovier e Toso and produced circa 1940s. The lamp is designed as a red glass fish with applied clear polvere o’oro glass fins, lips and tail. The company of Barovier e Toso was formed in 1936 from a merger between two glasshouses. Their signature style included ribbed red glass and gold leaf inclusions. Very good vintage condition, any present wear consistent with age and use; newly rewired, with three way sockets.

Barbara Quackenbush split time between Harrisonburg, Virginia and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and continued her artistic training at George Washington University and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. and exhibited locally an nationally throughout her career. She passed away in 2012.
