Donn Russell was born in Boston in 1929 and would go on to attend the Boston Museum School, the Pratt Institute, the School of visual Design and the Art Students League in New York. His first public acclaim was winning the top award at a National Academy of Design Annual and would be followed by numerous other awards and recognitions. His work has been exhibited throughout the world and has been featured in many art and architecture publications, as well as appearing as illustrations in various periodicals like Life, The New Yorker and Fortune.

Barbara Quackenbush split time between Harrisonburg, Virginia and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and continued her artistic training at George Washington University and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. and exhibited locally an nationally throughout her career. She passed away in 2012.
