A highly modernistic armchair, produced circa 1980s by Karl Springer Ltd., with cushioned seat upholstered in scallop patterned fabric, against a curvaceous frame in polished steel, with brass detail to the back-splat. Very good condition, consistent with age and use; no visible signs of wear.
Signed and numbered geometrically composed original silkscreen by German born artist Jo Niemeyer. The piece draws upon early 20th Century De Stijl ideas and the works of Piet Mondrian and Theo van Doesburg.
