An abstract oil on canvas signed and dated  by Jamie Dalglish (b.1947) on reverse. The composition consists of dripped, splattered and brushed oils in bright, almost neon hues. The inherent sense of energy in the piece likely stems from Dalglish's experiences living in New York City in the 70s and 80s. The piece is a recognizable counterpart to the kinetic, graffiti influenced works being produced by his contemporaries; Basquiat and Haring, among others. Alongside the works of these other artists, this piece is a great example of the explosion of creativity in New York's art scene at this time.

Barbara Quackenbush split time between Harrisonburg, Virginia and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and continued her artistic training at George Washington University and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. and exhibited locally an nationally throughout her career. She passed away in 2012.
