This vintage Italian wine holder from the 1950s, comes in the form of a whimsical chariot, on spoke wheels with wooden support, comprised of beautifully gilded, scrolling acanthus leaves. Overall very good condition, with minuscule wear to the metal, consistent with age and use.
A very unique, large-scale ice bucket, produced circa 1970s, with rounded body and baluster point, raised on a single foot, in lacquered gold-leaf finish against wood; interior lined with white plastic. Barbara Quackenbush split time between Harrisonburg, Virginia and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and continued her artistic training at George Washington University and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. and exhibited locally an nationally throughout her career. She passed away in 2012.
