Markings include label [Baker Furniture] and  stamped beneath table top. The tables remain in overall very good vintage condition, consistent with age and use.

A pair of minimalist style jacaranda wood side tables by Joaquim Tenreiro, manufactured in Brazil, circa 1950s, with glass tops against round frames, on bases with intersecting legs. Excellent vintage condition, consistent with age and use.
Produced in the 1970's, this side table has a chrome pedestal column mounted on a lucite beveled-edged base and supports a clear lucite top.
1960s Danish side table, produced, by Johannes Hansen, was designed in the minimalist Scandinavian Modern style, including floating lower shelf on gently curved stretchers, stationed between round tapered legs.
A 1920s Art Deco table by Walter Kantack, with round top in black onyx, on an architectural form base, crafted in polished steel with brass accents.

These are original French or French American carved nightstands. They are done in the style of Louis XIII. Rudimentary tool marks on the interior and dovetailed drawers exemplify the cabinetmaker's skill. These nightstands have recently been restored to a beutiful french polish.

Barbara Quackenbush split time between Harrisonburg, Virginia and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and continued her artistic training at George Washington University and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. and exhibited locally an nationally throughout her career. She passed away in 2012.
