Born in Wisconsin in 1935, Weege studied printmaking and sculpture at the University of Wisconsin at Madison during the Vietnam War era, and became one of the sixties most politically active artists. The frame for this mirror is hand-carved and lacquered in white. The carvings depict stylized flowers and swags, circa 1910. In good vintage condition consistent with age and use.
