The piece was most likely handmade by an employee of the Milwaukee Boom Co. which was founded in 1887 and built world class tugboats. The folk art board features numerous sailor's knots, hitches and splices along with a carved double bladed axe, 2 log pikes, 2 log holders and other carved decorations. Late 19th- early 20th Century.
