A coaster holder designed by famed Bauhaus designer Marianne Brandt for the Ruppel Werke Gotha in the 1930s. Enameled metal, bottom marked 'Ruppel'. Very good condition.

She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and continued her artistic training at George Washington University and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. and exhibited locally an nationally throughout her career. She passed away in 2012.
