A limited edition wall sculpture designed by Salvador Dali (1904-1989) and produced by Daum, as part of the collaboration between the artist and the French art glass company, lasting from 1968 until 1984. Recreating Dali’s melting clock in blue Pa?te de Verre, with gilded hour and minute hands and numbers, draped on a gilt bronze coat hanger, the overall surrealist mode and underlying theme of the piece is based on the melting pocket watches of Dali’s earlier work, and easily most famous painting 'The Persistence of Memory' (1931). Very good condition, consistent with age and use, with some minor loss of the gilded finish to the hanger, due to the glass. Includes certificate of authenticity.
