Note: Daria Marchik is a visual artist, photographer, art director and creator of ambiguous art forms with a focus on eccentric nonconformity. Having evolved in New York for the most part, her look on culture and its inhabitants tends to shift the dualistic view of societies’ standards. Inspired by Berlin’s Grotesque Burlesque, her GLAM DAM work group extracts color & form, glorifying Role Play, Female Ambivalence, Escapism & Retro-Romanticism.
Marchik has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Russia, the USA, Ukraine, Germany, and the UK. Within her multidisciplinary practice, she works with photography, video art, installation, and performance. She was given a retrospective at the Moscow Modern in 2016.
She currently works between Miami and Moscow in the fields of performance, fashion, art, and photography.
